Gong Xi Fa Cai from Team Jet Fynn Photography

Image
There is always a time to celebrate and at times we celebrate while working to capture beautiful memories for our clients. At the same time, we do enjoy ourselves too as our team have always done. The reason being that is due to the fact that we do love to capture images that our clients will keep as a historical keepsakes for future generations. With that thought embedded in all our team members even before they joined us, we believe that the cause for our existence is fully justified as our hearts are set at the right places instead of thinking of doing our job as work. As Chinese New Year comes once every year, all of us take our time off to celebrate and remind ourselves to be prosperous in wealth, health and also not forgetting wisdom too. Here we are wishing everyone "GONG X FA CAI!" P/S: There were a few more members in the team not featured here as they were working elsewhere during this shot which was done during a company annual dinner for King Hup Motors S...

As an actual day photographer, there is always the challenge of doing something out of the ordinary and try to be produce better images for clients and yet, maintain a certain unique qualities that is consistent with the vision of the photographer's style. One of them is the contrasting elements in the photo. To many, it's like yin & yang, black and white, patterns and rhythm. Balance is the key. Since every wedding is different, we strive very much to do something different everytime. Here's one with the contrast that "reveals" the message: Please call us at 016 - 5230161 for a detailed discussion on your wedding. We will be glad to help! Shhhhhh! ;-)

Gua Kasi Lu 5 Sen

Image
In an Indian wedding when the couple goes back home after the temple ceremony, the family members will ask the couple for a small "toll" as an inducement for then to unlock and open the door. The amount may not be much actually and the token amount is shared amongst themselves. Sometimes the groom has his own ideas to have fun during these times (The Groom Whisperer a.k.a. The Photographer) also "helps" a bit in the games. The photos will have some form of a nice storyline to share in the future. As for us, the Jet Fynn Photography team based here in Ipoh has always prodded clients to have fun and have a great time during their weddings. That will make our jobs easier in addition to creating an atmosphere where all guests are willing participants in the games which will eventually be recorded in a stunningly visual experience later when the photos or albums are delivered.    After all these, do you think the groom can get away with just paying 5 cents? ...

Wedding at Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Ipoh

Image
One of the churches that we have always loved to shoot in is the  Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Ipoh Garden. The church's interior is rather classic with challenging lighting situations and of course, the certain rules for the photographer who wants to use flash. Then again, our job is to shoot the moments and we have to tackle these challenges head on without the rules breaking our spirit. Since we are professional photographers doing our job, we cannot tell our clients the situation does not permit us to be at our best. We have to make do with whatever situations that comes to us and able to deliver as well. One thing about weddings, there has never been a wedding that is the same and these are the things that spurs us further and gives us the adrenalin push to achieve higher. We here at Jet Fynn Photography thrives on these challenges and our team are ever ready to serve no matter what the situations that come may. Here's a wedding photo taken at Church of ...

Ini lima sen, tolong buka pintu!

In many cultures like the Chinese, groom may have to give an ang pow to enter the house. It is also practiced in Indian cultures as well. Usually the groom would like to get away with paying the least and the people guarding the door would the demand the highest possible. So, let the negotiations begin! (By the way, the negotiation part is very interesting. The picture below we believe says it all for the intentions of the groom!) For wedding photography and videography, please feel free to call us at 016-5230161 (whatsapp/line/viber/wechat) for more information. Although we are primarily based in Ipoh, our photographer s and videographers are willing to travel the whole of Malaysia and also other countries as well.

It's 4 A.M. in the morning, why are you up? Covering an Indian wedding of course!

Image
All of the cultures here in Malaysia believes in getting married. In fact, all cultures everywhere in the world encourages people to get married. It's just the customs, traditions and time of the wedding that takes place varies. We are lucky in the sense that Malaysia, is after all Truly Asia! One of the unique ones in Malaysia are the Indians. Sometimes their auspicious time is actually 4 A.M. when most of us are all soundly asleep! We here at Jet Fynn Photography have experienced many of these over the years. Here's one that our client engaged us to go all the way to Alor Star, Kedah from our base here in Ipoh.

Wedding make up preparations

Image
Make up artists are an important part of a wedding as they are they very people that can really make or break the bride's looks during their day. We are glad that we have not seen any of those bad ones! These were taken in our Jet Fynn Photography Studio in Ipoh. Here's sharing two:

Life Imitates Art or Art Imitates Life?

Image
Sometimes when we shoot a wedding, we do take note of our surroundings and the details that are present in it. Certain people loves to collect figurines and other collectibles that we can use as "props" for their wedding photoshoot. Here's an example of this:

GOLD! A must have accessory in a wedding

Image
Gold, a mere mention of the word will bring about a lot of intense memory of value and stuffs that associates with it, especially during any weddings be it in Malaysia or in other parts of the world especially in Asia where gold has and have always been held in high esteem on keeping the value as compared to other forms of jewelry for a wedding. Today's sharing is from a wedding done where it was placed on a tray for a few minutes only and I had to shoot the item before it was taken to be given to the couple. The shine is so clear that I can even see myself in it too!. Here's wishing everyone a Happy, Productive, Healthy and Wealthy 2013!

Our work was published in Metro Ahad newspaper

Its the best wedding anniversary we've ever had. Thanks 2 U....." And to think that this couple had already been married for 4 years and with 2 kids! I'm very happy for Halim and Azneen too! Great anniversary present! Here's the page from the Metro Ahad:

A bit about Jet Fynn from the past until 2011

Image

Sorry! ) Jet Fynn as a company is 15 years old this year as we started a long way back in 1996 operating from our humble home on a part-time basis until what we are now to cater for our clients' growing needs. They are our pillars of support as without them, Jet Fynn wouldn't be able to be around for so long. Looking back, the early years was a struggle and much work had to be done to convince people that photography is a profession just like any other, the person needs to have the dedication, commitment and of course the creativity to be able to carry out client's needs. Sometimes we get straightforward requests and certain times we get very challenging requests from customers. All of them are taken in enthusiastically as they are something new every time. At times we are honoured and also there are times we were deeply humbled at the comp...
